Four artists. Four women whose working matter is their own body. Marina Abramović, Sigalit Landau, Katharina Sieverding and Shirin Neshat have a common experience of violence and oppression in their respective countries. The contexts change, as do their personal experiences and their ways of working with the body. But all of them develop an inquisitive language that is both poetic and political, that moves and does not leave one indifferent, but also points out the problems that beset us. Body of Truth thus becomes an emotional journey in which we accompany the artists in their creative process and investigate the conflicts that have made them form their creative consciousness.
