An exciting visual experiment that forms part of “Los Irascibles: Pintores contra el museo” at the Fundación Juan March in Madrid, an exhibition that had to be cancelled in March 2020 because of the pandemic. Precisely this unique circumstance – that of a group of works by artists who protested in 1950 precisely because they were not exhibited, and who half a century later are, but cannot be seen – is the starting point of the documentary that tells of the protest of fifteen artists, including some of the most renowned members of the New York School (Willem de Kooning, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Adolph Gottlieb, Barnett Newman, Clyfford Still and Robert Motherwell).
