Known as “the artist among architects”, Luis Barragán is one of the most famous architects of the 20th century. When he died in 1988, a large part of his work was locked up in a Swiss bunker, hidden from the view of the world. In an attempt to resurrect Barragán’s life and art, the artist Jill Magid creates a bold proposal that becomes a work of art in itself, an act of negotiation that explores how far an artist will go to democratise access to art.
